April meeting 13 April 2026

Our April meeting saw us getting together for the first time in person this year. We started with making name badges for ourselves. The common theme for the batches was black and white, with each member being free to interpret the text in their own style. Experimenting with dissolvable sticky support not only helped to make the letters a little bit tidier than freehand stitching but resulted in sticky fingers and needles too. Two fun hours later (not to forget tea and the lovely cake baked by Margaret!) a selection of black-and-white name badges emerged. Thank you Michaela for organizing this fun activity for us.

The CETG will be participating in a craft fair held at Tylers Green Village Hall (Tylers Green, Buckinghamshire) on Saturday 28 March 2026 to raise funds for the group. Doors are open at 2.30 till 4.30. Come and see what lovely hand-crafted items our members have made!

OUR NEXT MEETING IS ON MONDAY 13TH APRIL AT 7.30pm TYLERS GREEN VILLAGE HALL STITCH A NAME BADGE

Yes we’re back meeting up in-person again! How lovely it will be to see everyone! Join us for a fun evening making yourself a new CETG name badge. You may have made one in the past, in which case, please do bring it along to share ideas, but this time the theme for the badges is Black and White and we hope everyone will make one! Beyond that you can be as adventurous as you like! If you already have an idea of how you would like to make your badge please bring along any materials you will need. Otherwise, all fabrics and threads will be provided along with any assistance required. Please also bring along your usual sewing kit including scissors, needles and any other equipment you may need. If you have some small pieces of black or white fabrics and/or threads please bring them along too.
