Monday 11 May 2026 – Tylers Green Village Hall Explore Straight Stitch
We are all familiar with a simple straight stitch so it may be a challenge to do something new with it.  There are so many ways to use this simple mark, changing direction, exploring colour combinations, reducing scale, overlapping stitches, varying the size and quality of thread from fine machine thread to thick wool or torn fabric.

Have fun and come and join us for an evening of stitching.

There will also be a demonstration of Gelli-plate printing by one of our talented members, Ros Cooper. While looking for new ways to use Gelli printing she stumbled upon printing botanicals on tissue paper which she then stitches into both by hand and by machine. In a short session Ros will demonstrate the process and share some of her experiments and samples.
